Screening and Cleaning of the Ocean around Kampong in Indonesia

Toli Toli is located in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. It nurtures six of world´s seven marine turtle species and is a home for more than 2000 fish species and sea mammals, including the magnificent Dugong (Sea Cow). Indonesia is also a part of the Coral Triangle, which has the highest diversity of marine life in the world and contains about 75% of all known coral species of the world.

The rise of overfishing, pollution, unsustainable tourism and the lack of awareness has caused negative impact to the the marine ecosystem in Toli Toli. This natural habitat of fishes, sea turtles and dugongs are getting threatened, over one third of the coral reefs are damaged and plastic waste are seen everywhere at the beach
